FlipChat Bossing Team (sub-clan)

This is the official thread for the Flipchat1 Bossing Team or FCBT for short. We are a sub-clan based all around what our name suggests. Bossing. We are not your average group of bossers for we do not focus on the same bosses constantly. We cover all your average God Wars Dungeon bosses along with all the other bosses (that can be grouped): King Black Dragon, Nex, Kalphite King, (exiled) Kalphite Queen, Corporeal Beast, Chaos Elemental, Dagannoth Kings and hopefully, one day, Vorago. We aim to not just solely focus on bossing, but to have a friendly and social atmosphere. This allows for maximum enjoyment. We ask that to join, you fill in a simple application. (SEE BELOW BOSS CLASSIFICATION FOR APPLICATION - Application is to keep track of those who join and to make it easier to classify people) - Official Friend Chat is "FlipChat PVM"
 
We have a minimum entry requisite of combat level 80. Note this is the BARE MINIMUM and the higher the better. The sub-clan is split into 3 categories based on your combat level:
 
Trainee – Combat Level 80+
 
Trainees are people who are not, due to their combat levels, yet an effective bosser to survive in smaller groups nor deal a large amount of damage. A maximum of 2 trainees shall be allowed without question on trips to any lower tier bosses (see boss classification for lower tier bosses) PROVIDED the group does NOT go over a maximum of 6 members. Trainees are willing and keen bossers who wish to garner important experience that shall set them in good stead once they are of a higher combat level.
 
Bosser – Combat Level 130+
 
Bossers are people who are of sufficient combat level to prove capable in a bossing environment, yet still not at a truly powerful level. They are, like trainees, willing and keen bossers who are intent on gaining a large amount of bossing experience. For lower tier bosses, a maximum of ONE bosser is allowed in the group PROVIDED the group does NOT go over a maximum of 6 members. A maximum of THREE bossers will be allowed to go to a middle tier boss PROVIDED the team does not exceed a total of 6 people. Those of 150+ combat can join a higher tier boss trip, provided the bossing group does not exceed 7 members.
 
Veteran – Combat Level 175+
 
Veterans are those who are very capable in the art of bossing and have the stats to go with it. They are those that will prefer to be bossing the middle tier bosses in trios AT MOST. They will have a good knowledge of the ability bar and ability bar setups as well as being well versed in the art of PvM generally. Veterans will be looked at to provide help for those of lower ranks within the sub-clan to aid them with their bossing skills, as well as boss on a regular basis and take the initiative when it comes to hosting events. They have reached the expected stat range of good bossers in the world of Runescape.
 
Exemplary Bossers – Hand-picked
 
Exemplary Bossers are those that truly shine within the sub-clan. Hand-picked by the SCL (sub-clan leader) and his 2ics, they are the créme de la crème of the sub-clan. Not necessarily the best bossers, but the most helpful, active and forward-thinking of the member-base. They will be looked to for advice on occasion in relation to matters such as sub-clan progression and major sub-clan decisions. Furthermore, they shall be expected to be constantly trying to help the lower-leveled members of the sub-clan as well as promoting activity within the veteran group. They are those that everyone in the sub-clan can look up to and, if needed, go to with any problems, worries or requests.
 
Bossing Sergeant – Hand-picked
 
Bossing Sergeants are the second-in-command of the sub-clan. Hand-picked by the SCL to aid him/her in their role of managing the sub-clan efficiently, ethically and fairly. They will play a part in almost every decision-making aspect of the sub-clan as well as be expected to set the standard for everyone else. They will have the same minimum expectations that the exemplary bossers have, as well as be expected to show good leadership skills. They must be well-versed in every aspect of bossing whether it be DPSing, tanking or voking. Furthermore, they must possess an in-depth knowledge on ability bar setups depending on the situation, boss and their individual role. They must also show a willingness to help those that may need it and be prepared to be proactive in doing so rather than waiting for someone to come to them. They will also be expected to host MULTIPLE bossing events each week.
 
Bossing Captain – Chosen by the Overseer of the sub-clan
 
The Bossing Captain shall be expected to do everything the Bossing Sergeant is required to do, and more. They must go above and beyond the call of duty wherever and whenever possible. They are in-charge of the day-to-day running of the sub-clan, as well as ensuring it runs smoothly. They are tasked with maintaining the efficiency, ethicalness, friendliness, activeness and socialness of the sub-clan as well as allocating certain tasks to his/her Sergeant(s) to fulfill. It is also expected that they maintain a good structure of communication within the sub-clan. They must set monthly challenges for the sub-clan in accordance to those set by the Overseer. Furthermore, they are expected to be a part of and manage the Kalphite King, Nex and Vorago Elite Bossing Forces.
 
Sub-clan Overseer – Determined by the clan leader
 

The sub-clan Overseer is chosen by the clan leader themselves and oversee the running of the sub-clan. They act in a supervisory role and only step in when ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. They are also tasked with setting monthly goals with the possibility to set weekly goals for the sub-clan as well. The Overseer is in-charge of monitoring the Bossing Captain to make sure he/she is fulfilling his/her role to an adequate standard as well as choosing new Bossing Captains should the need arise.

SUB-CLAN RULES
 
Sub-clan members shall be expected to follow ALL Jagex’s rules and regulations.
Sub-clan members shall be expected to follow ALL clan rules IN ADDITION to Jagex’s rules and regulations.
Sub-clan members shall be expected to be civil, respectful and friendly towards other sub-clan members.
Sub-clan members shall be expected to respect the Bossing Sergeant and Bossing Captain AT ALL TIMES.
Sub-clan members shall be expected to follow all orders given out by the Bossing Sergeant or Captain UNLESS it is something that seems truly unreasonable.
IN THE EVENT that a sub-clan member feels they have been asked to do something unreasonable, they have the right to decline but MUST then inform the overseer from which point his/her judgment shall be law on the situation.
During bossing trips, the host of the event has the final say in who comes and the cap on the attendance numbers. If you are refused and deem the refusal to be out of order, inform a Bossing Sergeant or the Bossing Captain ASAP.
Sub-clan members shall be expected (unless cleared with a Bossing Sergeant or the Bossing Captain) to attend a minimum of one bossing event each week. Failure to do so will result in a black mark. 3 black marks mean that their position shall be placed under review with removal from the sub-clan a strong possibility. (Allowances shall be made in the event of sudden personal circumstances that may prevent one from fulfilling their day-to-day activities on Runescape)
IN THE EVENT a sub-clan member breaks any of the sub-clan rules, the Bossing Captain reserves the right to discipline the sub-clan member as he/she sees appropriate. This can range from a warning, to a suspension or even in expulsion from the sub-clan. In serious cases of misconduct, the Bossing Captain shall not only discipline as he/she sees fit but pass it on to the senior management team of the clan.

All FCBT Events will be held in the FC 'FlipChat PVM' - They will all be coinshare events, and instanced. The hoster of the event is responsible for all instance costs. 

In the event of CS/LS not being possible (Vorago, or any other boss who's main drop is above GE value), FFA Split drops must be given to the highest ranking member of the clan that participated in the event. They will then sell on the GE, and split among the FCBT. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST TO DOCUMENT WHO ATTENDED EACH EVENT. 

Anyone caught deceiving/scamming during an FFA Split, will not only be banned from the CC, the FC will be taken away as well. - Decree of James (owner of the Friend chat and Clan chat - FCBT Overseer)

A note on the above: In addition to exclusion from the clan and the friend chat, you shall face immediate expulsion from this sub-clan and not be allowed any further participation in our activities even in a guest role. Anyone who invites a banned member to official, reported events shall be liable to punishment themselves. This in-place to ensure a fair, friendly and deceit-free atmosphere.

Bossing Terms
 
DPS – Damage-per-second
DPSer – Somebody who focuses solely on DPS when bossing – Usually dual-wields weapons and has high offensive stats
Tanking – Drawing the boss’s attention and the bosses attacks – High defensive level required
Tank – Somebody who focuses solely on drawing the attention of the boss and taking the hits of the boss – Usually uses a shield and has a high defensive level
DPS Tanking – Drawing the attention of the boss whilst maintaining an efficient DPS rate – high defensive and offensive stats required
DPS Tank – Somebody who draws the focus and damage of the boss whilst still maintaining a high damage output – Tactical gear setup alongside high offensive and defensive stats required
Off-tank – A secondary tank who’s job it is to lighten the burden on the tank/DPS tank if required. In the event of minions being present in the boss room, the off-tank will be tasked with drawing the attention of them to ensure there is minimal extra damage hitting the tank.

Voker – Commonplace in Kalphite King teams. Tasked with provoking the boss when needed, such as when the Kalphite King is about to use his special attack for instance, to temporarily lure the boss’s focus whilst the tank prepares to takeover once more. Vokers provide light, temporary relief for the tank.

To answer your question, Hectic, all upcoming events shall be posted in this thread and the official bossing friend chat for this sub-clan is my own: "Campo32". If there are multiple events running simultaneously, however, then please use the event host's friend chat. The upcoming events list that will soon be published will only be of major events that will be aimed to draw as many people as possible. I hope that in addition to the events list, people shall take the initiative and have their own events! 

Campo32 - FC1 Bossing Captain and God of Citadelgrad

I am pleased to announce that the second Bossing Sergeant spot has now been filled! I have, after much conversation, convinced a former colleague from my former clan, to join FlipChat1 and aid me in the runnings of the first FlipChat1 sub-clan! This now means we have the entire leadership sorted. Now, before I forget, I suppose I better tell you his username. Our new Bossing Sergeant is 04Wallerj1! 

I think it is safe to say that great things stand ahead of this sub-clan and the future most certainly looks bright. I look forward to working with Waller, Bio and James and constantly improve this sub-clan.
